Ignite Theatre Company is set to breathe new life and laughter into Sydney’s Darling Quarter Theatre with Monty Python’s SPAMALOT for a strictly limited season this November.
Lovingly ripped off from the iconic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, SPAMALOT retells the medieval legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on their quest for the Holy Grail.
Bursting with catchy songs, absurd humour and zany characters, this Tony Award winning musical is a rollicking celebration of all things Monty Python. With book and lyrics by Eric Idle and Music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, SPAMALOT is guaranteed to have audiences laughing and singing along to Monty Python Classics, “Knights of the Roundtable” and “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”.
SPAMALOT features a cast of 16 emerging Australian musical theatre performers, ready to bring this acclaimed musical to the independent theatre stage. Director and Producer Aden Abeleda said, “Ignite Theatre Company is proud to present SPAMALOT following our sold- out season of Carrie: The Musical. We are passionate about continuing our mission to champion and showcase incredibly talented emerging Australian musical theatre performers and creatives.”
Don’t miss your chance to join King Arthur and his Knights on this hilarious musical adventure!
