
Bus Stop Films, Australia’s leading inclusive filmmaking organisation, has announced its inaugural fundraising gala, The Bus Stop Ball, to be held at ICC Sydney’s Parkside Ballroom on Saturday 9 May 2026.
The Hollywood glamour-themed event will bring together corporate leaders, philanthropists, creatives and community supporters to raise funds supporting people with disability to build skills, connections and careers through Bus Stop Films’ Accessible Filmmaking Program, including scholarships and employment pathways.
Hosted by television personality Richard Wilkins AM, the evening will open with a red carpet experience led by Elle Dawe alongside Abbey Faulkner from The Assembly, complete with photographers and live music.
Entertainment highlights include a feature performance from stage and screen performer Kat Hoyos, followed by DJ Adam Katz. Guests will enjoy a two-course dinner and beverages throughout the evening.
Bus Stop Films Ambassador Ronan Soussa (Love on the Spectrum) will also share a personal reflection on belonging, creativity and inclusion. The event is supported by ICC as major sponsor and community sponsors Amok Events and DanBartArt.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a curated selection of auction and raffle items, including:
- A fully catered corporate box at CommBank Stadium for an NRL match

The Bus Stop Ball raises vital funds to expand Bus Stop Films’ programs nationally, supporting more people with disability and those from marginalised communities to access training, build confidence, and pursue careers in the film and media industry. Funds raised will contribute to scholarships, program delivery and employment pathways.
