About Us
All our theatrical thoughts, from us to you!

Who are Theatre Thoughts?
Theatre Thoughts is a dedicated site to promote and share arts critique and offer a platform for advertising our thriving arts and culture industry. We aim to support the arts and culture sector, whilst striving to push for a richer and more inclusive industry. The site also features content from our own podcast, The Theatre Thoughts Podcast where you can hear one on one chats with creatives from the arts industry, as well as deep dives on some of the biggest shows to visit Australia.
We are growing day by day, with a dedicated Sydney and Melbourne team ready to meet the demands of promoting shows from professional stages, through to independent theatres and even the community theatre scene. We aim to share our honest thoughts in a fair way that reflects the themes and ideas being shown on stage, and how it reflects the diverse world we live in. From theatre, opera, comedy, dance, musical theatre, cabaret and Fringe Festivals, we go behind the scenes and get exclusive access for our readers.
Justin (he/they) is a freelance theatre reviewer, podcaster, and tour guide. Raised in Western Sydney, he always had an avid love for theatre and the spontaneous. They trained at the University of Wollongong, majoring in Acting and Performance Making graduating in 2013 before completing a Diploma of Education in 2014.Â
Justin developed his writing under publishers such as Theatre People, ArtsHub, Limelight Magazine and Time Out before establishing his own theatrically focused business, Theatre Thoughts. In the world of videography, Justin has worked on TV and film sets as an actor, and behind the scenes in theatre as a director and stage manager. He currently schedules, hosts, records, edits, and promotes the Theatre Thoughts Podcast as part of the Broadway Podcast Network.

Theatre Thoughts is an independently run online publication, and everything we do is funded internally. Therefore, we rely solely on donations and advertising revenue in order to continue publishing and creating the work we do. It is our aim that one day we can offer our writers a fee for the work they contribute to our site.
Here’s how you can make that happen:
